Thanks to our website, the diligence of the Membership Committee and active Lodge members, Dennis E., Randy, and Katrina were initiated in November. Evelyn and Grace have turned in their applications, were voted on at the November meeting and will be initiated in January. The beauty part of our organization is that we are made up of so many varieties of ages, interests, and skills! It surely does take a village to keep our Lodge alive and well. | Välkommen! |
| A new Svea Tradition - celebrating Leif Erickson Day at the Luminary in Erie, PA. It was an impromptu event because Lisa Davis got a proclamation from Mayor Joe Schember to make October 9th Leif Erickson Day in Erie! There was a rumor that Joel, the owner, would come up with a signature beverage for next year! Put it on your calendar - it will always be Leif Erickson Day on October 9th. |
Our Swedish Connection Our new website has garnered new friends - from Sweden, DL #19, Lodge #452 Goteborg, Sweden! Lars Andersson has been a wonderful ambassador for the Swedish Lodge #452. Recently, Tom Hetrick, one of our members, traveled to Sweden. Tom was able to meet up with Lars and was then introduced to others who helped him track his Swedish heritage. Make sure you look at the photos Tom took of his journey and his new found Swedish friends on the Home Page. Goteborg #452 recently celebrated their 100th anniversary.
